Thursday: didn't even end up under the blankets last night; just had my wrist braces on, lying uncovered with Mim curled up around my right hand. This morning, I dreamed of Iceland cruises and hte logistics of meeting up with our friends in a port. Out of bed before 8:10. Managed to spend a little time working my draft today; not much notable about the work shift, though. Cuddled with John on my first break, which meant that I had to scramble to put clothes on when my lunch break started. Once I was dressed, I walked through the heat and the haze to get chicken and a sushi tray at Acme. I watched Woolie's Ace Attorney 2 stream on my second break for a bit, though I also caught up with Julie once she arrived. After work, I gathered up the litter, as I'd forgotten my plan to do so yesterday. Once I cleaned up, Julie jumped straight to reheating our porkchops, broccoli, and potatoes, so I guess we'll hold off on exercising. We finished Wives and Daughters while we ate, which I found I enjoyed more than I expected; this might have been my favorite of the Regency romances we've seen thus far. (I found Lady Harriet's determination and insistence upon interfering with Molly's misfortunes very gratifying.) Going to try to make it an earlier evening than usual after I post this.
Wednesday: a typical workday, but the workman arrived today to fix the air conditioning. Perhaps as a consequence, I ended up falling asleep in the office...? Before that, I made the vegetable feta pasta we love, but I forgot the damn peas, and we ran out of basil. I should add those to my notes.
Oh, I forgot to mention I spent some time reading ancient forum threads about less-popular interactive fiction platforms, like ADRIFT and Hugo. Did you know that Robb Sherwin's games are all written in Hugo? I had forgotten.
Tuesday: much like yesterday, my work shift was overfilled with unexpected chat support coverage, training sessions, and very delayed breaks and lunches. Julie had a pizza date with a friend after she got back from work, so I napped in the bedroom after she returned. I ran the bedding through the wash because of Mim's ongoing issues, and once she returned, I took out the litter and the trash, only to discover steady rain and very active thunder and lightning activity. Too bad it's still so hot. I had some cereal and went to bed early in the office, only to wake up around 3 AM to post this update and play the new raid series in FFXIV, the Arcadion.
Sunday: still too hot to do anything outdoors. We cleaned up the apartment: I got the litter, unclogged several vacuums, and did some spot cleaning around in the basement. For dinner, I roasted asparagus, boiled rice in the pressure cooker, stir-fried some chicken, and prepared a coconut-curry sauce to go over the chicken and rice. Portions were a little smaller than I wanted, so I'll have to remember to prepare more than a cup-and-a-half of rice for next time. I played more World of Warcraft, which consisted mostly of trying to finish quests and raids for the July monthly trading post rewards.
