Friday: I find it a little strange to lately be so caught up in dreams that I cannot get myself out of bed. This morning I was so indisposed that I didn't get up until 8:40 AM. That left no time for anything before work, other than going through the bathroom and distributing Temptations to the cats. The shift progressed uneventfully. I took a shower on my first break and shaved at lunch time. I watched somebody play through Dawntrail patch content while I was eating. Once work finished, I had my usual catch-up call with David. In the evening, we did our usual Friday exercise routine, and we had the last of the porkchops, potatoes, and broccoli for dinner. With news that several of the guys were going to be unable to make our weekly discord call, I dove into game distractions instead: Zero Parades, TerraTech Legion, etc. Stayed up until past 2 AM. A tragic backslide.
Thursday: presented with the conundrum of whether to play Tears of the Kingdom or Unicorn Overlord after my work shift, I chose... Umamusume Pretty Derby instead. I guess notbov's years of proselytizing on the forums before the English version was available must have rubbed off on me. It's more fun than I'd like to admit. Julie's team in bocce won by default, so she and some teammates went right to the bar.
Wednesday: woke up exceptionally early in the office, and I logged into FFXIV to play through the 7.01 update and the new Arcadion raid series. I got a little carried away, so I didn't stop until it was time for work, meaning I spent the day in a state of lingering exhaustion. I had another workday dodging absurd call volume thanks to the need to cover chat support and get additional training on the trade sanction project. Once work ended, we had the rest of the leftover steaks, green beans, and corn. We continued watching Resident Alien until the sleepiness started to catch up with me, so I went to bed by 10:30.
Monday: media distractions today involved the latest spoilers for the upcoming Hearthstone expansion (TITANS), Let's Play videos of people trying Her Story, and a supercut of Joseph Anderon's Death Stranding playthrough. I only played that game once at the SB meetup in Branson. I thought I'd get back to it, but I never did.
I punctuated my uneventful day at work with the leftover coconut-curry chicken, and Julie relayed the story of how her Quizzo night went before I caught up with Mom and Dad.

Wednesday: saw Portugal. The Man at the Cotillion in Wichita. It was a great show!

Saturday: we had our second power outage in two days. Julie said the heat index is 110. Our apartment's on the top floor. By 10:30 PM, the power and internet came back on, but the apartment got very hot in the interim.
Friday: dogsitting continues.
