Today is my sister Kelly's birthday!
Wednesday: this year, I just posted birthday wishes for Kelly on her facebook wall. I had almost no calls during the morning, which meant I got a fair bit of progress on trade sanctions emails for August 19. I ended up spending my entire project bloc working those emails, but my shift ended with a lot of weird little calls. I drowsed for a bit in the living room with John and Juice beside me. (Juice must have gotten in a scuffle with somebody yesterday, because she has a big chunk of hair missing from the top of her head and a tiny scab.) Julie feels like she's coming down with something; she might have finally caught the cold I picked up at the end of last month. Even so, she'd prepared a dinner with brown rice and chicken with cashews. We had to eat in a hurry to get John's Water Ice before they left the park at 8:30, so I just watched a little NL miscellaneous on youtube while I ate. Walking up to Passyunk was very pleasant in the falling darkness; the weather was perfect, and we saw numerous cats in windows. It was kind of a long wait at the truck, but we got through before they closed, and I went for a gelati including mango water ice and cranberry chocolate chip ice cream. (These flavors did not mesh as well as I'd hoped.) We checked in on apartments that had recently sold on our walk back, and when we got to our place, the local outdoor cat was on our porch, so we spent some time saying hi. I'll have to get up pretty early tomorrow for a doctor's appointment, so I don't plan to stay up too much later once I post this.

Monday: wrapped up my work project for the previous week, and I did have time during one of my breaks to wish Kelly a happy birthday on Facebook. Julie went out to Quizzo and had a pretty good night compared to the way things had been going. Apparently she's got lots of plans with friends this week, so we'll see how things go. I started watching more Shadowbringers and other FFXIV streams, though I stopped long enough to log in and complete the Fashion Report activity for the week.

I launched Moirai today, but I'm not sure if it was already offline at this point. This was a game that obtained data from a previous player and passed your data on to a subsequent player, so once the servers died, it stopped completely. It's little more than a high concept setpiece, but I liked it a lot for what it was.
