Tuesday: wasn't quite as productive at work as I had been yesterday, but I still caught up on all of my projects. After work, we went to the gym, where I was stuck on the disconnected cycle, so I just read on my phone for my hour of exercise. Back home, I gathered up the litter (and swapped out the box in the office), while Julie got the trash. We finally got cleaned up from our workouts afterwards, during which were discussing John, and I amused myself by asking if she thought we could consider him a "whispering cat" since he's especially quiet and prone to unvoiced meowing. She mostly just rolled her eyes.
The apartment's in a state of bad disrepair thanks to the disorderly office, the insects infesting the bath tub and basement, and whoever's taken to pooping on the hall rug. I started a load of laundry early, but poking around in the basement made it apparent that we're going to have to notify the landlord about the overflowing washing machine sooner or later. It's sitting on wooden supports, which I suspect may be rotting and serving as a breeding ground for roaches and even less savory insect life.
I had the leftover cabbage soup for dinner, while Julie made herself some eggs. Lauren's I Was a Teenage Exocolonist streams are back on, but I only stopped in long enough to say hello, since that's a game I'll probably play on my own, sooner or later. For now, I got into The War Within and did a bunch of kobold quests. I'm level 76, I think? I need to cut back on optional quests on my main and get through the story, since I could use these renown quests to level my alts.
Still haven't mentioned to Julie that I have tomorrow off. Not sure what I'm going to do with the time. Work on interactive fiction, perhaps? Ryan's already preparing his big board for his Halloween game, so I should finally decide if I'm going to try to make something in September.
Sunday: It was just another workday, and it was pretty busy despite not having calls. I didn't make as much progress as I would have liked on either of my projects. Julie had lunch out, but upon her return she put chili in the pressure cooker. This mix proved too heavy on the chili powder, but it was still good. We didn't know how good we had it when we could get chili bricks from Dillons... For the sake of variety, I told Julie that it would be nice to watch a Poirot show again, so she found it on one of the services we have on the PlayStation, and we watched a few episodes through dinner. I wasn't able to complete the AC:PC event in time, but I don't sweat stuff like that. I did a little bit of Hearthstone before writing this update, after which I played more FFXIV: the Rising celebration in Ul'dah celebrates the 10th anniversary of the A Real Reborn relaunch. It's a bit meta as the game director and various developers send messages to the players thanking them for sticking wtih the game. It was nice.

I first uploaded the page for my interactive fiction game, THE EXIGENT SEASONS, to the Interactive Fiction Database. It's a flawed experiment, but at this point it was the most complete work of IF that I'd created as a sole author by a large margin.

Saturday: we're in Charlevoix! I kind of irritated Julie because I was on my DS for much of the drive, but we ate at Crunchy's with Mike & Laura and David. I think we talked about their recent move? Jason and his partner met up with the two of us once we were in Charlevoix proper, and we had fish and chips at The Villager Pub before retiring to the AirBNB for a repetitive game of trivia.
