Tuesday: it's slow going on my work project due to a reporting system outage. I decided to switch to a peanut butter and honey sandwich for lunch just for variety, but after reviewing some dietary recommendations, I might need to make those a bigger part of my meal plan, again. Julie and I had made plans to go the gym today, etc., but she had a last-minute Quizzo opportunity with a new couple. It went well! We've got a game night set up for next month, now. While she was out, I struggled to get myself moving. I decided not to go to the store early and just finished my wilting salad for dinner, instead. I took a photo of the kittens to commemorate the anniversary of their pick-up on Facebook, and after Julie got back, I took care of the litter and some of the trash for trash day. By the time I was done, she'd gone to bed, so I took my laptop into the kitchen to do the dishes. (I would have taken my Surface, but YouTube performance has been dissatisfying lately.) Dishes done, I came in here to write my update, only to realize it's already after 2:00 AM, so I should go to bed, despite not feeling tired and despite wanting to continue collecting tomestones in Final Fantasy XIV for the anniversary event.

Saturday: Julie and I wanted to have lunch at Dog N Shake, but I planned to go directly to work from there, so we were driving separately. As I was driving behind her, I was horrified to notice kittens falling out her vehicle undercarriage. I was able to pull over, pick up both kittens, and verify there weren't any others still up there or otherwise stranded along the path we'd driven. We brought them back to the apartment parking lot and figured out that one of the local strays had been hiding her litter in parked vehicles. While we were able to get them out of the car, the two that we rescued fled into a neighbor's car, and those neighbors took responsibility for them. Another two kittens were under a second car, and over the course of the weekend, we managed to get both of them brough into our apartment. Our downstairs neighbor agreed to keep the mama cat, who she named Marmalade. This is the story of how we got Orange Juice and Grey Goose. (We've also sometimes called them OJ and Earl Grey.)

We ate at a Culver's before we went to Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore! It was quite the pile of sand. On our way back to Livonia from Charlevoix, we found a Freddy's Frozen Custard and ate there for lunch.
