Saturday: woke up late; we both had headaches. Couldn't think of any appealing changes to our routine, so we got lunch at Taco Bell, like every Saturday. Headed back to The Home Depot for cleaning supplies to deal with mildew and any potential mold so that we can be finished with the bedroom ceiling. Grocery shopping went quick, but the checkout line was long enough that the older guy behind us felt no shame about complaining. Back at home, Julie gave me a spray bottle with a mixture of bleach and water, and I used that plus a sponge to wipe down the ceiling and walls where the leak had been. We're going to keep the fan running tonight, and tomorrow we'll apply the sealant spray. I also got the litter (and finally disposed of the waterlogged ceiling tiles). Since we were going to watch TV, I brought my laptop out to the living room, and I brought the old PS3 controller so I could play Baby Steps. Julie's been rewatching Leverage, and I sat in on the last six episodes while we finished the casserole for dinner. In Baby Steps, I found my way from the second campsite to the location of the vase, which I broke within view of the fire tower you need to bring it to. This part of the map feels like I'm trying to crawl out of an enormous bowl, and while I can make easy progress along the bottom, every side I try to scale eventually becomes insurmountable.
Friday: Julie and I debated what we should have for lunch, but I elected to pick up chicken with rice at the halal cart. I was hoping my prescription could be renewed in time to pick it up today, but I guess it won't be ready until sometime next week; in the interim, I bought a new phone charger. After I ate (while playing Hearthstone and catching up on a Final Fantasy X playthrough on youtube), I had a very long call with David. He might have been eager to prolong the conversation since we won't be talking next week? I did the dishes afterward (and listened to the opening of the Woolie Vs playthrough of NieR: Automata on my phone, using my new charging cable). After that, I cooked pizzas for each of us, though the chorizo we used this week may have to only be an occasional inclusion in my recipe. We continued through season 2 of Buffy while we ate, then I treated the cats, and finally I'm posting this update for yesterday and today.
Wednesday: thanks to my late night of web design, I didn't wake up this morning until 7:30. I took another hour to snooze and had vivid dreams about home ownership, uncles and cousins, and the threat of political violence.
Some of the other helpers on my project at work had secondary projects of their own that were coming due today, so they weren't available for support. I did a lot of double-checking on their behalf.
We finished the stir fry for dinner, and I caught up on Hearthstone quests since I was falling behind on the event. I just bounced through random Wild decks until I'd finished my backlog, threw my gold away on some Caverns of Time packs, and called it good. I think I'm going to try making PvP in FFXIV part of my daily routine until I finish the current season, so I'm going to go to bed early again.
