Sunday: this marked the conclusion of the cleanup required by the ceiling leak in the bedroom. I sprayed our anti-mold primer over all of the affected surfaces before replacing the two tiles in the drop ceiling that had been destroyed by saturation. Since my beef stew recipe was especially labor-intensive, Julie took over the vacuuming in the bedrooms, and I spent the late afternoon peeling and chunking potatoes and carrots before slicing up an onion and some green beans. The volume of meat and vegetables ended up scaling far higher than the beef broth in the recipe could cover, so Julie did some last-minute adjustments. We ended up doing the pre-vegetable simmer for approximately 80 minutes, while the post-vegetable simmer was closer to 40; we probably should have doubled both of those lengths, but we were hungry, and the stew suffered for our impatience. At least the bread Julie had picked up from the grocery bakery was excellent. By the time dinner was ready, it was super late, so I just ate in the office and explored some of the Steam games I'd picked up in the Autumn Sale. (This included Proverbs and Mind Over Magnet before I switched to Hades II for the evening. I now have five weapons unlocked, along with the familiars system. I have defeated the bosses of Erebus, Oceanus, and Ephyra. I have fallen to the bosses of the Fields of Mourning and the Rift of Thessaly.)
Saturday: at work, I had too many help requests to get through to make much progress on my project work today. Took a shower on my first break, after which I wore my ripped jeans as insulation from cat claws. On my lunch break, I watched the GG playthrough of Heritage Found in FFXIV, and on my third break, I took a power nap. After work, neither Julie nor I were in any state to follow through on my plan to go to the gym, so we just finished the pizza from yesterday. I was going to step back into FFXIV myself, but it turns out that my Documents folder was in my OneDrive (which I lost when trying to clear up space after taking the pictures off my phone), so I spent most of the evening getting my OneDrive settings back to where they should have been in the first place, followed by reinstalling FFXIV and a couple of other programs that were similarly affected. Ryan made the second 25% of the source code for Ryan Veeder's Authentic Fly Fishing available to download, so I read through it while going through the reinstallation process. After I finish this update and my reading, I'm going to test Ryan's Ectocomp games, after which I may check in online games, if there's time.
Thursday: I posted my update last night about how I was going to go to bed, but I ended up logging into FFXIV long enough to complete the last duty I needed to unlock the summoner job. After that, John seemed really antsy, and I followed him around the apartmnet for a bit, but it took lying on the office bed for him to settle down and lie against my leg. I fell asleep until 4:30, and then I went to the bedroom and dreamed about imaginary cruise ship accommodations, and transporting oneself with trains and subways and cars in both New York and Missouri, and other such details which had been vivid, but too soon forgotten.
After I posted a short update here, I both finished the process of unlocking summoner and started my "do a little FFXIV PvP every day" plan successfully. I also did all my Hearthstone quests and had cereal for lunch. Julie got home from auditing a couple of the centers she's training people at, but a new friend had offered to meet up with her at a local bar, so she didn't stick around for dinner. I had the rest of the leftover spaghetti as I watched my weekly Disco Elysium livestream. (This was the first half of the autopsy, but things got heated when the subject of the quality of schools in the US came up.) Julie got back and confirmed the quality of the nachos she'd had, and I listened to the Castle Super Beast podcast while eating carrots and hummus and revisiting ancient games like BreakQuest and Moonbase Commander. I stayed up too late!

Got stuck in Broken Age and never got back around to finishing it. I also played The Beginner's Guide, which is one of my favorite games.
Steam:
Broken Age - Question Your Elders
Broken Age - She's Doomed Us All
Sunday: we were flying back home from Angie's wedding, but somehow my backpack always causes enough suspicion to earn a patdowon from security.
Saturday: our flue had been jammed for more than a year, now. Rather than wait for management any longer, I fixed it myself. Two dead birds fell out.
Steam:
Sid Meier's Civilization V - We are Family

Tuesday: I tweeted that Julie had "six bottles of white zin" that she apparently needed to empty before the wedding. I wasn't looking forward to it. Over on facebook, my coworkers and my family commiserated about the fact that I hadn't yet provided their addresses so that they could receive wedding invitations.
