Monday: back at work, but it was pretty productive. After my shift ended, we headed over to Stogie Joe's, where I was dismayed to see their Christmas decorations are up again. This would be fine if we could ensure we're always seated in the main room, such that I wouldn't have to look at the ghastly Santa painting in which he's fondling some pasta, but we had no such luck tonight. Julie was particularly frustrated by the gossipping gals in our vicinity. I thought to mix up my order again, but on the spot, I just ordered another stromboli. Our performance in trivia was decent, in spite of a disproportionate number of physics questions; we ended up in third place. When we got back home, I stayed up to get some work done, and I ended up staying up the entire night. See tomorrow's update for the details.
Sunday: the cold weather continues such that I had to turn up the heat, and spent most of the day wearing slippers. At work, I was supposed to cover Trade Sanctions emails in addition to providing chat support, but the chat support questions were just frequent enough that I only got through around four emails before my shift ended. Julie and I pursued independent activities through dinner and into the evening; she finished the quiche and broccoli, while I had the last of the Thanksgiving food we'd brought home with us. I played some Hearthstone while watching Shadowbringers videos on old youtube accounts, but everything else came to a halt once I discovered that Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete was already available. Julie and I downloaded the updated game and started checking out the changes. Once I had my camper card available, I uploaded my QR code photo to facebook. Now I'm posting all my updates since Thanksgiving to my website, starting with this one; I should go to bed afterwards, but I kind of want to get into Vampire Survivors first, which seems like a really bad idea.
Friday: since I stayed up too late, I woke up too late as well. I spent the morning hanging out with cats in the bedroom, the bathroom, and the living room, lying on the sofa while they came by and hung out on my blanket. Julie's headaches forecast stormy weather, and her prediction of "rain all weekend" was already coming true, so I went to the gym without her, and found myself reading various RPG blogs. One of the houses on the corner has put multicolored holiday lights on their tree, even to the point of decorating the "no parking" sign that is usually obscured by the tree's branches.
Once I got home and cleaned up, we finished the meatloaf and accessories. Julie suggested we try grabbing a movie at random from the bookshelf, which is how I selected Steel Magnolias for the evening's entertainment. I'd never seen it before, and I was struck by how much nostalgia it gave me for the my grandparents' house and the neighborhoods I could recall from the 80s. Sure, it's a moving tragedy, but I was too preoccupied with late 19th century medical center architecture. Remarkable program.

Friday: we went to see Brad Stewart Live at the Crown Uptown. I have no memory of this.

Tuesday: apparently I described one of my coworkers as being "sweet on" somebody else we worked with. Julie found this expression to be an anachronism.

Tuesday: this was the day I asked my roommates to be my groomsmen. I'd never been in a wedding party myself, which puzzled me because I kept having apparently fake memories of being a groomsman.
