Friday: since I stayed up too late, I woke up too late as well. I spent the morning hanging out with cats in the bedroom, the bathroom, and the living room, lying on the sofa while they came by and hung out on my blanket. Julie's headaches forecast stormy weather, and her prediction of "rain all weekend" was already coming true, so I went to the gym without her, and found myself reading various RPG blogs. One of the houses on the corner has put multicolored holiday lights on their tree, even to the point of decorating the "no parking" sign that is usually obscured by the tree's branches.
Once I got home and cleaned up, we finished the meatloaf and accessories. Julie suggested we try grabbing a movie at random from the bookshelf, which is how I selected Steel Magnolias for the evening's entertainment. I'd never seen it before, and I was struck by how much nostalgia it gave me for the my grandparents' house and the neighborhoods I could recall from the 80s. Sure, it's a moving tragedy, but I was too preoccupied with late 19th century medical center architecture. Remarkable program.

Tuesday: this was the day I asked my roommates to be my groomsmen. I'd never been in a wedding party myself, which puzzled me because I kept having apparently fake memories of being a groomsman.
