Tuesday: since Julie's still working from home due to cold symptoms, I was able to get my shopping done today. I brought home Taco Bell for lunch, just like always, and in the evening, we went to Latchkey's monthly Quizzo. We left early enough to get good seats; I tried the Caesar salad with chicken, but their version was a little too conceptually adventurous to enjoy. In the trivia, we played as "The Robin Dilemma" for the second month in a row, which referred to a scoring argument that had happened this fall. (Next month, we should try "The FaceSmash Furies" or something similar, as tonight apparently featured a scoring argument about the name change Facebook undertook in 2004.) We didn't perform too well thanks again to the movie round, but at least we scored better than the loud table next to us. After we got back home, I played a bunch of the Siren Isle stuff added in today's WoW patch.
Sunday: we spent the day prepping for our trip tomorrow, i.e. vacuuming, changing out the litter, packing, and (in my case) panicking about charging cables I didn't really need to bring. We picked up food from an Indian place (coconut curry chicken, rice, several tyeps of naan). I stayed up way too late watching that Margaritaville video while I was trying to get my carry-on packed. Gotta finish that now!

Much like Pillars of Eternity, Wasteland 2 was supposed to signal the rebirth of PC RPGs or something. I was game to try it, but I couldn't get past the first eight hours, which were rough. I think the Director's Cut is supposed to have improved it, but I don't know if I'll get back to it.

Julie posted a blog update tonight asking what people's top three moments from the past decade were. (Entry title: "time referred to it as 'the decade from hell'") Her three entries were:
1. Moving to Wichita (she said she'd been in a rut before her move);
2. Meeting me;
3. Graduating. ("out of the 3 I'd have to say my bachelors was the most important, since it doesn't seem I'll be doing much with my masters")
She continues the update by confirming that we booked our venue for our upcoming wedding and reception. She has her dress, and the bridesmaids have pretty much all ordered theirs. She mentions a few other details, like an upcoming bridal fair and tentative plans to have Tarl's friend be our photographer. She also has a paragraph about the need to take med school prereqs in the next semester, but I think this may have ended up falling through because of the lack of program openings in the post-recession period. This would be her last update before losing access to her university email address, which meant that when she got locked out of livejournal by mistake, she'd be unable to have access restored, so she did not post another (public?) update after this.
She also mentioned needing to finish crocheting something and implies it's a Christmas gift. I think this must have been the winter hat she made for me—it wasn't a great fit, unfortunately, but I did wear it on a number of occasions.
